A new year means new resolutions and if your resolution is to only use products which do not test on animals then this is the post for you.When trying to get that perfect shave a shaving brush can make a world of difference. The down side is that the good quality shaving brushes are made with animal hair, such as badger or bore. The brush I use is from the Body Shop which does not use animals in their products or for testing cosmetics. The Body Shop now has a full range of grooming products for men which use the ingredient maca root. It comes from peru and is believed to give skin an energy boost and help balance out hormones. Packed full of minerals and vitamins this could be a great introduction to your grooming regime. My three favourite products of the Body Shop range are;
Maca Root Face Scrub - This scrub is quite gentle but gets the job done. Its purpose is to get rid of all the dead skin which clogs up pores. It leaves skin feeling smooth and is good to use just before a shave. REMEMBER: Exfoliating will prevent oily skin and help maintain spots and ingrown hairs.
Maca Root Balancing Face Protector - If used daily this can be a life saver for those with oily skin. This moisturiser gives a matt finish and absorbs into the skin well.
Maca Root Eye Serum - You may have seen in other posts that I am a sucker for a good eye serum as bags under the eyes is one of my problem areas. This serum should be used daily to reap the benefits and the Vitamin E will act as an antioxidant to help the sensitive skin under the eye to fight off those every day elements like pollution and the sun.
