After obssessing about Brycreem the last few posts I've been thinking about that classic combed back look which has been made infamous by film and music stars of the 50's. Elvis, James Dean and Marlon Brando (just to name a few) have made the swept back look timeless, and it is as cool today as it was back then. Zac Efron posed for the cover of the May 2009 issue of the US GQ with his hair flicked back and wore 50's style clothes. Vogue Italia recently featured photography by Steven Klein which had model Jon Kortajarena channelling the rockabilly look. It shows that the style is even current in high fashion.
Unfortunately my hair isn't as long as Zac's or Jon's, but thankfully this style can look good at any length providing it's not too short on top. Adam Levine of Maroon 5 is a great example of this.
